About

One day, while watching One Tree Hill, I heard one of the charachters say, "The first time I looked in a lens I could see magical things in unexpected places and I want kids to feel that." Immediately after hearing that I realized I had the same goal. Throughout my life, whether in a school art class, after free class, or my free time art has always been as escape. The ability to let my imagination run wild and create things that have meaning to me is something I truly value. The magic in art is found in the creativity, the immagination, and the freedom. Each art piece is unique and special and that in itself is magic.

The quote also touched upon wanting children to feel the magic of art and creativty. One of the greatest influences on my artwork is my neighbor Madelyn. Although only six years old since I've known her she's been like a sister to me and inspried me to unlock creativity I didn't know i had. Whether we're doing an art project together, or just playing a game, her freedom of expression is evident and it transports me to a world where the typical high school stress is non existent; the only thing that matters is creativity. I love the sense of freedom, and I try to keep that alive in my daily life, which I learned is best kept through the act of creation.

As a kid, I never considered myself to be a good artist because I was not able to draw. When starting high school I chose the art class that required the least amount of drawing, which was Studio and Media. Since then I discovered that my inability to draw does not define me as an artist. On this website you can find a combination of my Computer Graphics and Photography artwork.
